A dark and crushing force known as the Depression had swept across America. Saul Goodwinter was beyond thankful to have his job and his house. He had a wife, a new girl barely five months old and a cozy new promotion. That promotion was well earned, too. A few months of having to take houses and belongings and he was able to keep his own. Saul delighted in that exchange. The economy, or lack thereof, had turned him into a ravenous shark.
The Top 10 Creepiest Moments from Children's Movies
You know, our childhood was already a little weird. Talking animals and inanimate objects were an unquestioned constant and the plots always wind up making adults scratch their heads. It's when the people making children's media try and be a little scary we have a problem.
Voice Box
“Momma?”
Claire looked down at the source of the tiny voice. She smiled and stroked her daughter's hair. Tessie stared up at her, unblinking and expressionless.

The Captain
My dad served during World War 2. He was in the air force. He knew some guys, and they were friends. When it got closer and closer to the end, him and some of the men he was friends with had to go over Berlin and drop a few bombs. Well, the Luftwaffe was having none of that, so they shot at them. One of the planes, one with one of Dad's friends, went down to never be seen again. They got back to the base and Dad decided he was the one to give the news to his wife. His wife was pregnant at the time, and Dad still gets choked up whenever he talks about her.

Everyone from the nosiest gossiping housewife to the most innocent child on their bicycle wants to know what is in the house at the end of the road. It isn't really a house, however, more a run down shack. The weeds tangle up the sides and the roofing dangles off by threads. Bits of trash litter the yellow grass while the shutters slope to and fro in the slightest of breezes. The doors are rusty and the windows fogged and dirtied to the point of being unable to see through.
That is where She lives.
